ORIGINAL, part of the “Enchanted Portal” series which explores introspection during the 2020 COVID-19 time of isolation.  I was thinking of the desire to record the self, the selfie as an art form and starring in and creating one's own private world. They will all have the presence of a mirror, and a phone in the drawing, with the mirror acting as a portal.

This piece was done in response to an assignment from the Muses, where we were randomly paired with another Muse and we each drew a portrait of each other! I was paired with the beautiful and talented Tatiana Eva-Marie, a singer, actress and bandleader, @tatianaevamarie. I wanted to do a beautiful portal for Tatiana reflecting her love of music and singing, hence the guitar, the songbird, and the soft pink backdrop to reflect her minstrel aesthetic.
