“This mystical, imaginative piece uses the contrasting colors of indigo blue and white with a hint of cherry red at the figure's lips to bring a striking image to light out of the dark. A lady-of-the-lake figure elegantly glides over the water with the help of a swan. They seem to share the same spirit, with the graceful white feathers and flowing blonde tresses, both inviting you in to a most magical and unexplainable scene.I completed this piece while at the Chateau Orquevaux residency in France, taking inspiration from the calmness and serenity of the surrounding ponds there.”
