From the earthly body to the spiritual self, a connection is striving to be made. The painting shows a figure on a Pegasus riding into the sky, with a sliver of a moon to her right. Below, the medieval landscape of rocks, rivers and trees are spread out over the earth. As a backdrop, a shimmering cloudscape lifts the Pegasus and its rider into the ethereal realms.
