Welcome to the Visionary Artist Salon! You are now in a safe space to learn, to grow, and to sharpen your skills. In the Salon you’ll find inspiration, help when you need it, and direction when you’re feeling lost. Most of all, you’ll find like minded creative artists who are committed becoming the best artist they can be while staying grounded in love. A salon is a historical term that means a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held to refine the taste and increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation and education. The artist salon has a rich history beginning in the Rococo time period and extending until the 1920’s during Picasso’s time. The Salon was a place the artist could share their work, meet other inspiring artists, meet opportunity, and sharpen their skills. Although our salon is open to everyone who wants to join, historically, artist salons were known for places where women would exert great influence on culture, given their behind the scenes, secret-society like vibe.
The Visionary Artists Salon encompasses online classes, in person meetups, and a membership facebook group that addresses different aspects of being an artist, taught by Jessica Libor, painter, MFA, art professor and curator. Whether you just want to dip your toe in the Salon with the Facebook membership, or want to venture into the intensive Solo in Six one-on-one coaching program, you will find something here to meet you where you are. At the Visionary Artist Salon, we celebrate EVERY stage of the artist!
